Hello All,
I have been thinking, why don’t we start a PSGC facebook group? I myself have started adding members to my facebook friends, and being, dare I say it, Social. I just wondered if it would be any use, I am sure it would help promote the club and best of all members can easily add each other. Another thing is that we can link from our homepage and encourage any trial lessons takers to join; this would mean something it would appear in all their friends feeds. eg “John Smith has become a fan of Peterborough and Spalding Gliding Club..”. I have no problem in myself setting up and ‘moderating’ the group, it’s not going to be any water off my back.
We can then get members of other clubs to join and keep in touch with what’s happening at PSGC, the only way currently is if they log-on to our forums or website, at least in their facebook as soon as they log-on its sort of sat there in their face, so they don’t have to hunt around for it. E.g. posts like “PSGSC- Flying Week 1st February” etc.
But what are the rest of the club and committee’s view?
If nobody has any serious objects then I will start sorting it.

That's a great idea Connor, I use Facebook for the band and it's a great way to keep people informed about what is going on

It can only help promote the club so yes good idea Connor.

This has been implemented (still pending committee approval, but I see no issue why it would be frowned against)

Connor, why do you need committee approval? Carry on, the more people that get to know about PSGC the better.

Well I just thought I can't go round adding new things etc, the club might not like it.
As it seams everyone is fine
