PSGC Open Day 2010 - August 8th
Quote:Dear Members,

As some may be aware Kev Fear applied for a BBMF Fly past for our Open Day. We have been added to their calendar, and; subject to the usual caveats weather; aircraft serviceablity; etc are 'booked' for a Spitfire, Hurricane and Dakota fly past on the 8th August.

Well done Kev!

RE: PSGC Open Day 2010 - August 8th
I know it's early days yet, but with the open day a few months away, we should exploit he fact that on June1st this year it is officially the 40th anniversary of the formation of PSGC! Maybe this is something which could be included in the promotional literature? Anyway, food for thought perhaps.

Good point NTU.
Aug 8 is the actual Open day we have the BBMF, simulator and BBQ so far. All we need is the weather, some targetted advertising and lots of willing club members.

Connor - I had an email via the Club's email asking about details of the Open Day. After I responded they suggested maybe there could be something on the website about it. Good point - can we get something on?

Yes. I will get something on there soon, once me and Ross have looked into the Poster design, then we can get something on the website to match the style of the poster to give a bit of continuity.

RE: PSGC Open Day 2010 - August 8th
Hi All

It is almost certain I have the availability of an R44 4-seat helicopter for the whole day of our Open Day on the 8th August.

It is my intention to bring it in as part of our overall event and add to the variety of aircraft on display and flying.

Is anyone interested in the 'ferry' trip (about 30mins) from Nottingham and Return, or even one-way if preferred, subject to us all being able to make suitable travel arrangements?

Sara would be confined to the cheap seats in the back if anyone was interested. Wink

Just a thought!

Kind regards

Dave G

RE: PSGC Open Day 2010 - August 8th
Re the Open Day, could Members or their partners please provide a home-made or bought cake for the ladies to sell on Open Day? It would be most appreciated, and will swell club coffers. Also, if anyone would like to help in the kitchen serving teas for just half an hour, it would be most helpful. On Open Day we will just be serving tea, coffee and cakes, no sandwiches. Thanks for your help, Annie.

RE: PSGC Open Day 2010 - August 8th
BBMF timings are confirmed as follows:

Dakota 12.15

Hurricane & Spitfire 13.10

There will be no launches 15 minutes before their arrival time, all gliders/aircraft must be on the ground or act in accordance with the Notam (2.5 miles and 2000 feet).
